1. Local Processing Default

AppShots is designed primarily as a local native application for macOS. The vast majority of your data, including raw screenshots, templates, layouts, and configurations, is stored locally on your device or synchronized via your personal iCloud drive. We do not transmit your application data to our servers unless explicitly stated for specific opt-in features.

2. Interaction with Third-Party APIs

To enable specific functionality (such as automated translation or external integrations), you may be prompted to enter your own API Keys (e.g., Google or OpenAI). These API keys are stored solely on your local keychain or configuration files. We do not access, track, or monitor your use of third-party APIs.

3. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it depending on the framework provided by macOS. However, remember that no method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are highly encouraged to practice device safety principles.

4. Telemetry and Analytics

We strictly minimize the collection of user telemetry. Any collected telemetry consists of anonymous, aggregated usage data aimed solely at identifying application crashes and improving user experience. You will be able to opt-out in the macOS systematic preferences.
